Non surgical face lift

Ultraformer MPT is a non-invasive focused-ultrasound treatment used for selected skin-lifting and tightening concerns on the face and body.

The device delivers micro- and macro-focused ultrasound energy at selected depths beneath the skin. This creates small, controlled points of heat that may stimulate collagen remodelling and support gradual skin tightening.

Ultraformer MPT does not involve incisions, but it is not a substitute for a surgical facelift. The degree of change is generally more subtle than surgery and varies between individuals.

What areas may be treated?

Depending on your anatomy and treatment goals, Ultraformer MPT may be considered for skin laxity around the brow, face, jawline, under the chin and neck, as well as selected body areas. Your clinician will determine which areas and treatment depths are appropriate following an individual assessment.

How does treatment work?

Focused ultrasound energy is delivered at planned settings and depths below the skin surface. The controlled thermal effect initiates a healing and collagen-remodelling response. Changes develop gradually, and the timing, extent and duration of improvement differ between individuals. No particular result can be guaranteed.

Is this treatment right for me?

Ultraformer MPT may be considered for adults concerned about selected areas of mild to moderate skin laxity. It is not a substitute for surgery and is not suitable for everyone. Your clinician will assess your skin, anatomy, medical history, implanted devices, previous procedures and treatment goals before recommending a treatment plan.

Will I feel pain during treatment?

Sensation varies between people and treatment areas. Temporary warmth, prickling, tenderness or discomfort may be experienced while the ultrasound energy is delivered. Your clinician will discuss comfort measures that may be appropriate.

What can I expect after treatment?

Changes are expected to develop gradually as collagen remodels. The timing, extent and duration of improvement vary, and further treatment is considered according to your response and clinical assessment.

Some people return to their usual activities soon after treatment, but temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, tingling or numbness can occur.

What are the possible risks?

  • Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising
  • Temporary tingling, altered sensation or numbness
  • Temporary firmness, welts or small lumps in the treated area
  • Temporary nerve irritation or local muscle weakness
  • Less commonly, blistering, burns, scabbing, pigment change or scarring
  • An insufficient or uneven cosmetic response

After treatment

Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your clinician. Please tell us about all medicines, implanted devices and any recent or planned injectable, laser or other skin treatments. The safest timing between procedures should be determined individually.

Contact the clinic if you develop blistering, a suspected burn, marked swelling, persistent weakness or numbness, or any other unexpected symptoms.
