Dr Chandran is a New Zealand specialist board-registered dermatologist and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Chandran graduated from the University of Leeds School of Medicine and completed dermatology training in Auckland and Waikato, followed by a dermatology fellowship at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust in the United Kingdom.
He works as a consultant dermatologist at Auckland City Hospital and Skin Specialist Centre. He is also involved in the education of dermatology trainees, junior doctors and medical students, and holds an honorary senior lectureship at the University of Auckland.
