Dr. Kevin McKerrow
DERMATOLOGIST
+ SEE BIOWe offer a broad range of treatments for all sorts of skin problems, there's nothing we haven't seen before.
Mohs surgery is a technique for the microscopically-controlled excision of skin cancer. Recognised as an expert in the field, Dr Kevin McKerrow of Skin Specialist Centre was the first in New Zealand to do this unique surgical technique and has now done more Mohs surgery than anyone else in New Zealand.
The Skin Specialist Centre was the first in New Zealand (and Australasia) to introduce the MiraDry system to reduce underarm sweat and odour. MiraDry is a non-invasive FDA-approved treatment that uses light energy to destroy underarm sweat and odour glands. Once those glands are destroyed, they do not grow back, ensuring long lasting results.
We're experts in multiple techniques to help improve the appearance of scars on your face or body. We can treat facial scars that remain after past inflammation such as acne or chickenpox, as well as scars from surgery or self-harm. Self-harm scars are a relatively common condition that may possibly be covered by ACC in some cases.
At the Skin Specialist Centre, we treat loss of pigment or excess pigmentation for all types of skin, from the very fair to the deep browns. In the past many laser machines could only treat lighter skin types, but now darker skin tones are treatable. We also treat pigmentation caused after having iron infusions.
We are New Zealand’s Largest Laser and Light Specialist Dermatologist Group.
Our aim is to provide the very best outcome for your needs and this is where our expertise and experience can help the most. If getting it right the first time is important to you then get in touch with us today.
