COVID19 (Coronavirus)

Latest updates from Skin Specialist Centre

  • Continuation of essential services
  • Working through how we can provide virtual appointments
  • Ceasing all non-essential laser & appearance medicine treatments for 4 weeks
  • For 30 years we have been looking after New Zealanders’ skin, and in these challenging times the health and wellbeing of our patients remains our top priority.

In view of recent announcements regarding Covid-19, we are aware that some of you may be wondering if you can still attend your booked appointment, especially if it is something more essential such as skin cancer surgery.

Essential Skin Cancer Treatments

To ensure continuity of care for high risk skin cancer cases, we wish to advise that these essential services will be offered if deemed urgent at the Greenlane branch.

While the day to day clinic will be closed, we will ensure appointment sessions are available at set times to ensure essential service provision.

Virtual Appointments

To ensure continuity of care for our patients, wherever possible, we have virtual appointments available using video (via Doxy.me).

All you will need is a phone with a camera (or you can use desktop/ laptop with a camera), and we will email you a link that will enable you to have a secure video/phone conversation with your provider.

If you don’t have access to the internet, still call us as you may be able to do a phone call instead.

For those patients that would like to schedule an appointment please call us on 09 524 5011.

Non-essential services and treatments

From today, we will be suspending all non-essential services for the next 4 weeks, or until further notice. This will include all laser and light treatments.

If you have a booked appointment over this period, then we will be contacting you to reschedule this, and if you would like to book a future appointment for a later date, you are also more than welcome to do so.

Thanks for your understanding and support through this time. We hope you all stay safe at home.
